Liverpool Voice presents a concert of Choral classics and more besides

Liverpool Voice is a well-established choir of 40+ voices, drawing its members from across the Merseyside area and Wirral region and rehearsing in the south of Liverpool.  Since its formation in 2003 it has gone from strength to strength, presenting concerts and music for special occasions in prestigious venues across the city and beyond.

The choir’s repertoire is wide-ranging and includes a broad selection of different musical genres. Concert performances have featured large-scale choral works: Vivaldi’s “Gloria”; Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace”; and Fauré’s Requiem. In addition we also present arrangements of lighter music incorporating a wide range of musical styles.

The first part of our Choral Classics’ programme on Friday 4 July features works by contemporary composers, including some of Karl Jenkins’ most well-known pieces together with George Shearing’s settings of Shakespeare’s “Songs and Sonnets”. The evening will finish with a variety of lighter music in the church gardens - weather permitting. We do hope you will join us.

Tickets can be bought on the door and the price includes refreshments.
